Wayne Cochran

Wayne Cochran and The CC Riders had an exhilarating stage show, which which was perfect for Vegas. Sometimes called "the white James Brown" Cochran was backed by a band that pumped out LOUD R&B with full horns. John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd based their Blues Brothers schtick largely on the performances of Wayne Cochran. The group spent several years in the seventies with Las Vegas as their home but Wayne Cochran has now gone back to Miami to become a pastor at his own Voice for Jesus Church .
