Bobby Darin 3
Beyond The Sea
Bobby Darin was one of the premier song stylists of the 1950s, beginning with his teen hit "Splish, Splash". A brash and outspoken man, he worked extensively for Robert Kennedy during his 1968 presidential campaign. After Kennedy's death Darin quit working, sold his possessions and moved to a mobile home at Big Sur, California. More than a year later he reemerged in bluejeans and mustache to start his own label Direction Records. Kevin Spacey, a long-time Darin fan will play Darin in the new film biopic "Beyond the Sea" to be released in late 2004. Spacey also directs.
