Angelique Dancing

Angelique Pettyjohn was an actress, dancer, showgirl, comedian who made Las Vegas her home for many years. Hooper photographed her many times over the years including for her well known Star Trek poster. This photo was taken in 1971 for her as part of her promotional package as a featured dancer. In those days, a stripper put on a 20 minute show so the costumes and props were a big part of the act. How do you take 20 minutes to take your clothes off? Of course, stripping was nothing like what is called stripping in the topless clubs today.
