"The amateur contest went on nightly at the Palomino Club so sometimes it could get hard to come up with authentic amateurs, auditioning strippers and keep the steady flow. Realizing the audience mostly changed every night, and wouldn't know the difference, Go-Go pole dancers from up stairs would get the nod from Paul to enter the amateur contest down stairs and shill it up. But then there were times when some great looking girl from the audience would get up on stage, dared by a friend and bringing her own audience with her, and the place would go wild. She was fulfilling her fantasy and the audience was in on it! And, in the early days, it probably was "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" because in was a small town and who back home would know if you danced naked on stage in Vegas one night!" - RSH
