Amateurs 1971

"The Nightly Amateur Nude Dance Contest at the Palomino Club actually started at the Gay Ninety's Club down the street, also owned by Paul Perry. The contest was all amateurs and an occasional a stripper auditioning for a job. Sometimes they were girls new in town and down on their luck and it was quick money. Paul paid all of them something, even if they didn't win....he wouldn't let them get on stage for nothing. There was one amateur in the early 70's that broke her leg skiing and had a cast to her knee, but came in every night to enter the contest. She danced slow with the cast on, but got her clothes off and won the contest every time! I think she actually kept the cast on a lot longer then necessary, just to keep winning the amateur contest." -RSH
